who wish to enjoy nature, comfort, and breathtaking scenery in a single unforgettable day.
This exclusive Condor Experience in Cusco takes you through the stunning Andean valleys and mountain roads of the
Limatambo region, where the landscape opens dramatically to reveal the Apurímac Canyon, one of Peru’s most
impressive natural wonders.
ITINERARY:
Your Cusco Condor Experience begins at 10:00 am, when we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco for a scenic drive through the beautiful Andean countryside toward Limatambo. Around 12:30 pm, we’ll arrive at the Chonta Checkpoint, where you can take a short rest and use the restroom facilities before continuing. Guided by our expert naturalist, you’ll learn about the behavior and conservation of this iconic Andean bird while surrounded by the peace and beauty of the highlands.
Shortly after, at about 12:45 pm, a gentle 50-minute walk will lead you to the Condors of Cusco viewpoint, overlooking the spectacular Apurímac Canyon.
There, between 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm, you’ll have the unforgettable opportunity to observe the majestic Andean Condors gliding through the canyon skies while enjoying your box lunch with panoramic views and the serene energy of this sacred Andean landscape. Our expert naturalist guide, you’ll also learn about the behavior and conservation of this iconic Andean bird.
At the first viewpoint we will have the chance to watch the impressive condor of Cusco in its natural habitat.Following the adventure and to have a better view of these incredible Cusco birds, we will hike on a trail for about 30 minutes and then go down a few meters to the following viewpoints. Here we will also enjoy our box lunch.
